How to Use

After cleansing, swipe a Toning Pad across face. Follow with serums for optimal absorption. Start by using every other day for two weeks. Gradually increase frequency to daily, then up to twice daily (in AM and PM) as tolerated.  We recommend doing a patch test before first use.

Eye patches need to be layered on top of product to stay in place. Apply your entire morning skincare routine–everything except SPF–then apply eye patches and leave on for 15-20 minutes.

The beauty of Clean Slate Spritz is its versatility. For optimal results, use 3-5 times daily to support and cleanse your skin on the go. Incorporate into your routine:

  • After Cleansing: Use as a purifying mist to prepare your skin for the next steps in your skincare routine. Allow it to fully dry before applying other products.
  • Post-Workout: Use it as a quick refresh after a workout to help prevent sweat and impurities from sitting in pores.
  • After Outdoor Exposure: Reset your skin after being outside or exposed to pollution.
  • Post-Makeup Application: Use to set makeup and, more importantly, to purify, as makeup and makeup brushes can trap bacteria.
  • Midday Refresh: Spritz throughout the day to hydrate and refresh your skin.
  • On-the-Go: Keep Clean Slate Spritz in your bag for a quick mist to calm skin irritated by pollutants, touching your face with dirty hands, or other daily stressors.

What’s the difference between Toning Pads and Toning Pads II?

Both our Toning Pads and Toning Pads II are designed to exfoliate, smooth, and brighten the skin. The key difference comes down to strength and skin tolerance.

Toning Pads:

  • Up to 2% glycolic acid
  • Best for sensitive skin or those new to exfoliating acids
  • Provides gentle exfoliation to clear pores and improve skin texture

Toning Pads II:

  • Up to 5% glycolic acid
  • Better suited for experienced users or those with oily, resilient skin
  • Helps improve stubborn congestion and more noticeable texture concerns

*Both pads contain up to 2% Salicylic Acid

If you’re new to Barefaced pads, start with Toning Pads to let your skin adjust before moving up to Toning Pads II. Always use sunscreen daily when incorporating exfoliating acids into your routine.
Should I start with Toning Pads or Toning Pads II?

We recommend starting with regular Toning Pads and then increasing to Toning Pads II as tolerated.
